"Iowa Whitetails is 1st class family run operation from start to finish. Father and Son, Jim and Ben Dahl are true gentlemen who carefully manage their property for raising giant mature Iowa Whitetails. Even before the hunt, both Ben and Jim make themselves available to answer any question or concerns that hunters may have prior to arrival. The property is suited for both bow and gun/ muzzleloader hunting with several lush food plots. There are enclosed elevated blinds to hunt from as well as numerous tree stands all set over food plots or high traffic corridors. Being avid hunters themselves Jim and Ben have the property designed to see that each hunter has the greatest opportunity to have both a successful and safe hunt. Hunters are given access to the hunting property work shop as well as the use a four wheeler and side by side which allow for easy travel to their hunting locations as well as transport their harvest. Once back at the shop there is a meat pole, electric and running water which makes for easy dressing and hanging of your deer. The property is abundant with wildlife, so be prepared to see plenty of deer but patient enough to wait for the right one. Our party of 4 hunted the property for the 2020 Iowa 1st gun season with all 4 of us harvesting mature bucks and does. I highly recommend hunting with Iowa Whitetails and look forward to returning to Iowa to hunt with them again soon. If you are looking for a real deal South East Iowa Whitetail hunting experience with an outfitter who’s focus and attention to detail is based upon providing the best hunting experience for their clients give Jim and Ben a call, you will not regret it."

"What a beautiful piece of property! This farm has it all. From quality food plots to thick nasty cover. And lots of deer. I did a late season muzzleloader hunt and had unseasonably warm temps the week I was there. All the way up into the 50's. Although I didn't harvest a deer, seeing anywhere from 5-15 bucks in a sitting was the normal. Jim was extremely friendly and accommodating to say the least. I wish it didn't take so long to draw an archery tag for non residents. Would love to bow hunt this farm."

Ben and his father were great right off that bat. They were very transparent with information about the property and even sharing photos of deer as recent as the day before my hunt. They showed the farm to me in great detail upon my arrival, they also helped me with contacts on where to stay. They have enough stand locations to combat the wind and plots throughout the farm. I saw at least one decent buck each day and also saw two of the biggest buck I’ve seen within a couple hours of each other on the same day. I wasn’t fortunate enough to tag out but it was a great trip none the less. They have a great farm and are working hard to make it even better. If I didn’t have to wait four years I’d be back next year.
